Am in limbo about my 401k Transamerica

I am in limbo about my 401k. I let the change of address lapse and apparently some info was changed. When I first called I heard a recorded message saying that there was money in the account, sure it seemed to be losing money but there was still money in it. After several calls asking for a change of address form, I was given a release of hold form. Apparently all that does is absolve them of any responsibility if they release the money. The company is Transamerica also known at the pyramid _____. Any way of getting control of my money again? I did offer to drive to Iowa myself to straighten it out but they said that that wouldn't work. Should I sign a form that allows them to release funds when I don't have any control over the fund?

Wading in the WWII memorial (Washington D.C.)

So in Washington D.C. there is the World War II memorial. Among other things, it has a fountain. People wade in the fountain - that was not the designer's intent, but many people feel that the design (unintentionally) encourages it. There is no shade around and there are steps leading into the water, which is filtered and clear.

Many veterans feel this is disrespectful. Some are a little disappointed but some are infuriated by the wading. The National Park Service discourages wading with signs and by having Rangers walk the site and tell people to get out of the water, but it is a sisyphean task on hot days.

I belong to a closed FB group of current and former NPS employees and this issue pops up frequently. The core issue seems to be that site's design invites conflict. No shade, hot day, cool filtered water with steps leading into it, fountains spraying - it would be a perfect thing to wade in and cool off if it were not a war memorial.

Thoughts?

Is modern day 'liberalism' primarily just moral posturing?

It seems like one of the primary motivations for being a liberal these days is virtue signaling and moral posturing. How often do you hear those on the left reminding everyone how much they care for everyone other than themselves?

For example, take this post by NoahFence:

...an insult of another poster followed by self congratulations on how how much he 'cares' about those other than himself.

This example was picked more or less at random, but if you watch just about any debate or conversation between a modern liberal and a conservative, the liberal will usually compliment themselves on their selflessness and concern for others.

I've been noticing this for years, here and elsewhere. It seems as if one of the primary motivations for identifying as a liberal is self-aggrandizement.

Parents leave boy in forest as punishment - boy is lost

http://ift.tt/1TXMytr

"Yamato Tanooka has been missing since Saturday after his parents said they made him get out of their car on a mountain road as punishment for misbehaving. He is reportedly without food or water."

Now, this is a parental mistake of epic proportions.

Just seen this about the documents found in London dating from Roman times from CE 57. Ain't science grand

Simple FTL experiment refutes J. C. Maxwell and A. Einstein

Experimental Clarification of Coulomb-Field Propagation (May, 2016)
"Propagation speed of a rapidly collapsing electrostatic dipole-field (spark gap between two spherical capacitors) has been measured in longitudinal direction. Almost exclusively superluminal propagation velocities v > c have been found."
It is generally accepted that Faster-Than-Light transmission of information is Relativity Theory's "kiss of death". Thus, either this experiment is defective or even a fake, or modern physics is in principle as wrong as Copernican astronomy.

Britain, most Corrupt country in the world. Says Mafia Expert

So, a mafia expert has said Britain is the most corrupt country in the world. Shocking, I know... I don't find it shocking though. Britain is and has always been the biggest corrupt country in the entire world.
