Do you encourage others to vote?

I used to encourage others to vote, but now I don't. I don't discourage them, either. But, I figure if they aren't motivated enough to vote, then they probably don't have an informed opinion.



I'm asking this, in part, because a coworker spends a lot of his free time trying to register new voters (not at work, but on the weekends). He sees it as supporting his party (he'll sign anyone up, but goes to places where he expects likeminded folks to congregate).
