Has anyone faked being a psychic or medium?

I found a forum where some posters offer paranormal services. Some claim to read palms, tarot cards, numerology, tea leaves, wax reading, and talking to spirits. Apparently the moderators have a list of 'approved-readers',(who they claim have to take a test of some sort). Others can read, but must first announce they are "unapproved" prior to the service.


It is tempting to claim I possess some paranormal gift, fake it, and see how I do. I can't be worse then James Von Praugh. Has anyone done something similar?
