The issue is that between 5000 and 8000 dogs are going to need homes when it happens. I know that various Greyhound adoption agencies are already starting to scramble to prepare for the influx.
So if you like dogs, and are thinking of getting a dog, consider a greyhound. They are sweet, friendly, and overwhelmingly lazy dogs.
