I've recently started listening to The History Network podcasts. They are usually less than 30 minutes, and free. Topics are all over the place, though certainly battles seem to figure prominently in their subject material.
I've listened to seasons 14 and forward. I'm thinking about purchasing the older stuff not available for free online. I'd be interested to know if anyone else has any criticisms of the podcast. Are you aware of any issues with accuracy? In one podcast, I know they mentioned they do go back and correct errors and rerelease the podcast when errors are pointed out. Are they considered particularly biased in some direction?
My only criticism so far is lack of references on the companion website pages for the specific episodes or even a "for further investigation" area. Comment sections seem to close quickly where I have looked. There is a facebook page that I have not investigated, so maybe the discussions happen there.
The presenter is Nick Barker regardless of who wrote the episode. His presentation is ok by me. Not the best, not the worst.
Thanks,
CT
