President Putin 'probably' approved Litvinenko murder

Well that's the headline from the BBC report:

http://ift.tt/23gxpHp

A UK judge has reviewed the evidence (including evidence presented in closed sessions from MI5 and MI6) and come to this unexpected conclusion (from the reports I've heard something far more circumspect was expected).

There are those out there (and on this board no doubt) who will insist that this is an absurd libel against Mr Putin and who will continue to insist that there is nothing in these accusations at all.

I'm always suspicious when conclusions in cases like this so exactly align with the national interest but on the face of it the process seems robust. The rebuttal from friends of the Russian state (that Litvinenko was part of a Polonium smuggling ring and that he accidentally poisoned himself) seems far fetched.
