Lightsail 2

The Planetary Society launched a spacecraft last week that will be attempting to use a light sail boost it to a higher orbit.

I think this is the first time this has been attempted?

I've always been a fan of the idea of light sails. Hope that they can do a good proof of concept here and potentially the technology might start to take off hereafter.
