I have recently been diagnosed with mild Meniere's Disease.
The symptoms are generally unpleasant but quite manageable (I've had the low-level hyperacusis and tinnitus for years, for example), although a recent severe attack was much more debilitating.
My doctor gave me no further treatment, just advice to keep an eye on things and come back when (not if) I get more frequent attacks of vertigo.
On looking into things myself, the advice across the board is to follow the Hydrops Diet. It is generally stated that this low salt, low sugar, low caffeine diet will help reduce symptoms now and into the future, which of course is exactly what I want.
My question is where the studies are that support this dietary advice?
I'm not great at researching this kind of thing, so if anybody can point me in the right direction, I'd be very appreciative.
The link above contains by far the biggest number of studies and references of any dedicated site I've seen on my searches, but none of them seem to cover the dietary advice as far as I can tell by their titles.
Thanks.
