OK, today Derek hits a pet peeve of his (and mine): papers and even whole journals that are made up of old body parts, a scrap of electricals and pure distilled fakery. That's another fine read you have gotten me into!!!

Note to those concerned negatively... there is a way to avoid these posts and increase your knowledge fast: just go to Derek Lowe's In the Pipeline (Corante) and check it every day or two. Stuff of real value in there at least 3 or 4 times a week - and you do not have to know chemistry to follow a lot of it (though it is worth knowing enough chemistry to follow a lot of the rest).
