Has anybody ever hooked-up on linked in?

I was wondering. I started you know, flirting with one of my contacts for fun, I made a couple appointments to meet for, maybe business, but, I um, had to cancel because I was too busy, you know, working? it was just online, but I was wondering if it's a normal thing to do on linked in? I was also wondering if anybody who works at linkedin reads the messages, or is it just your contacts? Let me know if I am giving up any secrets here.
