"Military Justice" has overtaken "military intelligence" in the Oxymoron Poll.
The best the court could come up with to find him guilty of was "posing with a dead body of an enemy combatant". Eddie Gallagher, arguably an actual psychopath, basically walks. And he gets congratulatory honorable Twitter treatment from the POTUS, and I predict we'll see him up on stage at some Trump event or another.
The picture that he's guilty of posing for was sent out by Gallagher with the admission,.... "Got him with my hunting knife". (There, at least, would have been the conviction for attempted murder or assault - innocent of both charges.) This isn't a guilty of lesser charge so they can hold him. He's walking free. The guilty verdict carries a four month prison sentence. Time served, so he walks.
