Happy Veteran's Day

I am not a veteran, but I know we have many on this board who have served in the military. I have a lot of respect for those who have chosen that career as well as those who were drafted and served honorably. And yet I feel bit lost on days like this.

Beyond basic respect due to all people I interact with on a daily basis:

How do veterans and active duty want to be treated on Veteran's Day?

How about the rest of the year?
