Conspiracy hedge fund for fun and profit

The conspiracy theory attitude can often be one of helplessness and general apathy. That's annoying. What can help?

Enter The Conspiracy Investment Fund.

Investing in trends in line with conspiracies and general paranoia.

So, what would this actually look like?

Here are some trends and ideas for starting points. Which companies or commodities would be good choices?:

- Paedos in the news, sexualisation of children, feminism, gay rights, mind programming; Invest in child care? Education? Psychiatry, advertising psychology and marketing companies?

- Global warming. Favour global cooling. Go long on NGAS. Short solar panel companies.

- Gold. Go short in paper gold but long on physical and miners.

- Bitcoin. It's the number of the beast. Heavenly intervention. Go long.

- War backed by both sides. An obvious starting point. Personally I won't invest in defence but it's the more obvious area for discussion and study. Imagine a conspiracy theory that both Russia and USA want a war therefore go long on defence companies both sides of the pond. Watch the news for items such as new presidents in places like Iran that sound west leaning - if this happens then short gold and oil. Consider Ukraine & Russia as a surface game - but how to align a portfolio with this attitude more precisely?

- Assassination and mercenaries stock name? (I forget)

- EMF pollution (WiFi poorly shielded cables and all that stuff). Go long on shielding companies? Electronics manufacturers making sensors for this stuff?

- Maybe just trying to follow what the Rothchilds etc are actually buying and maybe going short on what they say they are buying ;) Could be difficult to ascertain - you'd have to speculate within the conspiracy theories as to long term goals

- That the illuminati will fake an alien invasion... how to sell people a stock for that?

- Clinton Body Count style search - shorting any company who's exec gets in the way of somebody in power

- Flouride chemical companies (but what's global?)

- Electronic money proliferation: Motifinvesting has a motif for this

Any more ideas?
