French naval history circa 1700 - 1850

Does anyone have any recommendations for text in English that are written from the French point of view. I have read extensively of British naval history from the period, and often these books display a lot of negative bias in terms of French courage and seamanship and the French sense of honor.



So I thought it might be time to examine this period through French eyes and see how they viewed themselves as well as their enemies
