The Financial Guru (Kiyosaki) Scam

I saw another ad for a free seminar offered for "Rich Dad, Poor Dad". They have these quite often in Hawaii. From what I can gather, Kiyosaki makes his money selling his books and seminars and there's no actual evidence that he's made a cent with the very information he is selling for tens of thousands of dollars. My understanding is that he was actually struggling until his rich dad book became popular amongst the Amway crowd. After the closed market audience started buying his books, he became popular and started making some bank.

The personal development courses I consider dangerous are groups run by organizations or individuals who have either non-existent or inappropriate qualifications for what they are doing and effectively are accountable to no one.

The concerning part is that there is no accountability and doing a quick search, you can find many people who claim that Kiyosaki's seminars exist to sell you more expensive seminars, rather than give you the education they claim to have in order to make you rich.

I wonder how these organizations continue to exist and survive when so much information is available?
