For any who haven't been invited, TalkRational.org happily invites all of you who are losing your home to come join us. A large chunk of us have gone through a similar exile... many of us (but not all, by any means) are diaspora from when IIDB imploded in a shockingly similar fashion years ago.
I will give fair warning, however: the moderation style at TR is NOT AT ALL similar. So be ready for the fact that "address the argument not the poster" is not required, flamethrowing is a time-honored tradition, and rules are few and far between. If you're faint-hearted, you may not survive the opening remarks :D. We have several complete jerks who will act like complete jerks - and you're free to tell them that they're complete jerks. We also have several accomplished real scientists who have real sciency discussions that nobody but them can keep up with, and some real big brains who have interesting long-running discussions about any number of topics. Members get to have a say in how the forum is run, from nominating mods for the forums, to both nominating, electing, and recalling administrators from staff. Members have a say in board policy and can initiate discussions of policy at any time. We can argue our case either in private or in public for any post move that occurs, and the incredibly rare suspension grants members the right to a council of their peers for review. It's actually a pretty cool environment, even if it is on the cusp between a democracy and an anarchy.
It may not be for everyone, but for those who want to check it out, please feel free.
