Specifically, I'm talking about people voluntarily give their private data to Google.
I have encountered so many people who seemed shocked at the fact that Google "reads" their Gmail messages. Read, of course, meaning that a computer program scans the contents of the email for the purposes of advertising. Given that Google is an advertisement company this is not surprising at all. Do people think that Google offers its services free of charge out of charity?
Personally, I don't give a crap. Google services improve my life in a positive way and do not impact it in a negative way at all. If you disagree, that's fine. Nobody is forcing you to use Google services.
