What do you think about Daylight Saving Time. Good idea? Bad idea? Don't care?
Personally what I like most about it is that extra hour of daylight in the evening during summer time, but on balance is it really worth it?
According to my back-of-the-envelope calculation, this year at least in the US, "Standard" Time is only 127 days long, whereas Daylight Saving Time is 238 days long. Maybe if Americans like Daylight Saving Time so much, we should just make it the standard time year-round? Since it already takes up almost two-thirds of the year.
Poll to follow . . .
ETA: I live in Japan where there is no Daylight Saving Time, and it seems to work just fine.
