The Ovilus

Hi guys and girls,

Firstly I just want to clarify I am a skeptic through and through. In fact it's why I'm starting this thread as I need some help debunking the Ovilus box.

I'm well aware of the well worn arguments against this thing (The 'for entertainment purposes only' disclaimers, the chance of coincidence etc).

I have however read comments on various articles about this machine where people have claimed to have had multiple, direct and correct responses to questions over and over (correctly guessing the items in someone's bag, correctly stating someone's surname when asked twice in a row, correctly stating two different people's age first time).

I'm not a believer in this stuff, and I'll be honest, this kind of stuff scares me as I tend to cling to a rational and material worldview, and I get a little anxious when stuff like this seems to challenge that. Is anyone aware of how the Ovilus works in depth? Is there any logical explanation as to how, outside of coincidence (Which surely can't be the case in the examples above) the ovilus could do this?

Thanks so much.
