I work from home a lot with my desktop and a locked down work laptop. I find the MS Sidewinder X4 really suits me, very solid and stable and the feedback as I hit the keys is just right.
With the laptop my Logitech MK520 feels a little too fragile and almost seems to flex a little in the middle so I want to replace it. I'd like something heavy like the sidewinder but ideally without the numeric keypad for space and ergonomic reasons. My google-fu is weak today.
My work laptop runs windows so I need the windows key.
As a side note one reason may be I first learned to touch type on an IBM 3279 (wiki)
