Trump's superlatives and how they relate to his narcissism

He seems to have a limited vocabulary, things are either the greatest ever of the most horrible ever.

It's interesting to see how they might actually be a response to his narcissism and insecurity:
The Truth About Donald Trump’s Narcissism
Quote:

There is Trump’s compulsive use of superlatives—especially when he’s talking about his own accomplishments. Maybe what he’s building or selling really is the greatest, the grandest, the biggest, the best, but if that’s so, let the product do the talking. If it can’t, maybe it ain’t so great.

There’s the compulsive promotion of the Trump name. ...

The petulance of Trump’s public feuds—with Rosie ODonnell (“a total loser”), Seth Meyers (“He’s a stutterer”), Robert De Niro (“We’re not dealing with Albert Einstein”) and Arianna Huffington, (“Unattractive both inside and out. I fully understand why her former husband left her for a man . . .”)—is wholly of a piece with the fragility of the narcissistic ego. In Trump’s imaginings, it is Fox News’s Megyn Kelly who owes him an apology for asking pointed questions during the Republican debate, not Trump who owes Kelly an apology for his boorish behavior and school-yard Tweets (“Wow, @megynkelly really bombed tonight. People are going wild on twitter! Funny to watch”). As for his sneering misogyny—his reference to blood coming out of Kelly’s “wherever”? Nothing to see here. It’s Jeb Bush who really should apologize to women for his comments about defunding Planned Parenthood.

I thought it would be interesting to list some quotes. Feel free to add more. They never cease to entertain.
Donald Trump’s Eight Best Lines Ever
Quote:

1. “I will be the greatest jobs president that God ever created.”...
2. “I’m really rich! I’ll show you that in a second. And by the way: I’m not even saying that in a brag.”...
3. “I’m the most militaristic person ever.”...
4. “I will build a great wall . . . and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me.”...
5. “Hillary Clinton was the worst secretary of state in the history of the United States. Hillary was the worst. In the history of the United States there’s never been a secretary of state so bad as Hillary.” ...
6. “I would use the greatest minds. I know the best negotiators. I’m in New York – I know the good ones, the bad ones. I always say: ‘I know the ones people think are good.’ I know people you’ve never heard of that are better than all of them.”...
7. “... I’m really smart – I went to the Wharton School of Finance.”...
8. “I would hit [ISIS] so hard your head would spin.” ...
Superlatives, according to Donald Trump
Quote:

"...Hillary was the worst in the history of the United States. There’s never been a Secretary of State so bad as Hillary. The world blew up around us. We lost everything including all relationships....

"...Mitt Romney, who was a great disappointment because he ran a terrible campaign and especially in the last month. He totally collapsed. He choked. .."

Worst economy: The United States “...we’re Greece. We are Greece on steroids. We’re a large scale version.”

... “I have a great relationship with the Mexican people.... They love me, I love them, and I’ll tell you something, if I get the nomination, I’ll win the Latino vote.”

... “I listen to the people. I get the biggest crowds. I get the biggest standing ovations and I guess you see it in the poll numbers.”

Biggest advocate for the Second Amendment: Donald Trump...

“I have a book called, ‘The Art of the Deal.’ I do The Apprentice. ‘The Art of the Deal’ was like the number one business book of all time or just about – I think it was.”

“... I made a lot of money doing everything I did. I made a lot of money with The Apprentice. I made a lot of money in real estate. I made a lot of money with everything I did. I’ve had great success.”

“... somebody said I’m the most popular person in Arizona because of my stance.”

...“If you look at Businessweek Magazine, they did a story on the ten things that China most wants. One of the 10 things – anything Trump. Anything Trump!”
One of my more recent favorites: "... I can keep a secret probably better than anybody I know. Maybe better than anybody I know."

Do you think he wrote his own medical summary? "Mr. Trump has had a recent complete medical examination that showed only positive results,"
Quote:

wrote Dr. Harold Bornstein, who has treated Trump since 1980. "Actually, his blood pressure, 110/65, and laboratory results were astonishingly excellent."...

"If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency," the doctor's letter said.
And of course there is "huge".
