Having just seen The Purge it has generated a bit of concern for me.
The movie has a premise where by government decree, one night a year all crime is legal.
The Purge date in the movie is March 21, 2022. With all the craziness of the past few years, I have little doubt that for some people it's going to become a real thing. Not the legal part, just the rampaging part.
Paranoid? Look at yesterday's Q-gathering in Dallas, expecting JFK Jr. to show up. (He's been dead over 20 years.) And the movie Idiocracy. And violent anti-vaxxers. And airline passenger disruptions.
There have always been crazy people, of course. But something seems to have been let loose that won't get back in the cage.
