Illinois offers $100M of taxpayer money for Obama presidential library

Lawmakers in Illinois have passed in committee a proposal to spend $100 million of taxpayer's money to draw the Obama presidential library to be built in Chicago. Never mind that the state is so cash strapped that it had to scale back on dental checkups for low income people. After all, it's not like it's lucrative for Chicago cronies to provide social services instead of building boondoggle monuments to a politician's ego.



Even if Illinois was in good fiscal shape, I would submit that the eventual Obama library should be funded the same as both Bushes and Bill Clinton funded their presidential libraries: privately.
