I see that Britain is sending 100 troops to Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia to deter Russian aggression.

I can't imagine what 100 troops in such a large area could hope to achieve - apart from maybe irritating Putin?
Still - perhaps the army isn't big enough to spare more troops - recently I read that the British Army has more horses in service than tanks - a bit over 100 tanks (with only a couple of hundred in reserve).
